Today I would like to introduce to you my
five top products that I have discovered living in Japan for two and half a
year. These are products that I swear by that will work for almost anyone and you
should definitely pick it up if you have got chance to visit Japan or having
someone coming to Japan. And the best thing is that they are pocket friendly,
which makes them even more difficult to resist.
Among the five I am introducing to you, I only
own four but trust me I have used the fifth one but I gave it away to my makeup
artist aka friend with my sister, so you can imagine how GOOD is it.
1. Majolica Majorca Lash King mascara. (JPY1260)
Hands down but I think Japanese mascaras are
the best! I have tried several mascaras that are so popular on youtube from
cheaper ones such as Cover girl Lashblast and Maybelline Magnum to Yves Saint
Laurent one, but never was I impressed. Lash King is just something that I happen
to use, but I believe there are many types of mascara that perform as well as
this one. It just keeps my eyelashes super nice, very much lengthening, with so
much volume and my super straight lashes curly all day long. (I always curl my
lashes with an eyelash curler before mascara, and the one that I really recommend
is Shu Uemura one)
This is how the wand looks like, this particular one can be sometimes a little bit clumpy, but clumpy lashes are kind of a trend right now so I am not complaining!
2. Canmake color stick in 01 (JPY525)
A very creamy textured stick that is absolutely
perfect for covering your dark circles. You know sometimes how sticks concealers
can be so tough and hard to blend. Not the case with this one! It is little bit
lighter than my skin tone so it makes my eyes instantly bright and awake!!
I have used it so much that writting has all came out!
3. Ma Cherie Decoration Keep spray (JPY735) (Pink can)
This hairspray changed my life! Not really,
but thanks to it I can sleep in more a little bit in the morning. So what I usually
do with this is towel dry my hair I use my hands to define curls by scrunching
my naturally curly (and frizzy!!!) hair, and then I hairspray with this magic. It
would be perfect for someone who showers in the mornings, but for a night
showerer like myself, it still works fine as it is very light and does not
leave your hair crunchy or hard, you hair feels smooth and you can even comb
your hair with your fingers throughout the day. As it was not good enough, it
also has a very florally strawberry signature scent of the line.
4. Kiss me Heroine make in smooth powder clear (about JPY 1170)
Japanese companies have the funnies English names for their products. But if you can ignore that part, a lot of their products are really worth trying. I really cannot understand how people can create such a magical powder. It has worked much better for me than tons of powder out there such as MAC skin finish in light or some L’occitane ones. The particles are so small and can melt into your skin providing the smoothest coverage. It says on the packaging that it is a translucent powder but I would definitely say that it has a very light color, which might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
This is one and only powder that I can used up this much, and will continue to use till it is totally gone!!!
5. Eyelashes fixer Ex (JPY 945)
This is the product that I told you that I had
given away to a MAC makeup artist. It is just amazing. The Glue is not thick at
all, every time you only need to use a very small amount, it does not create a
firm/residue to stick your false eyelashes, it just somehow glues magically,
and you don’t even have to wait for the glue to sit, but at the same time glue
does not just dry out instantly. It might seems strange but I explained it to
my friends as the glue just sit there and wait for something to stick on and it
will never let it go. Of course you can still remove it if you gently tug your
false lashes from inner corner out. However I must say that I am not going to repurchase this because I do not find myself reaching too much for my false eyelashes because I have already found my HG mascara!
As unfortunately I do not own it credits to this picture goes to http://smashedmakeupbag.com.
