I have wanted to write this review for such a
long time now, and yet only after more than two months of purchasing that I
have kicked in my butt and force myself to write this down. The reason why I don’t
really feel like writing was because the palette was not really
impressive for me. I like it, but do not LOVE it!
I realize that there are only few shades that
I am using such as Foxy, Half Baked, Booty Call, Tease and Snakebite. My
favorite one probably would be the Booty call, a nice peachy with iridescent
gold shimmery. The rest of the palette is nothing too special in my opinion.
And I have also realized that there are so many fall outs from brush, unlike
when I am using my Chanel eye shadows, I always have to tap off the excess
product. Yes I know Chanel products are super expensive, but for someone that
is only doing everyday day to day make up, Chanel nude colors are the best. Moreover,
for someone that is not very creative with makeup I would not suggest this
palette. I like it but I do not feel like a reach for it as much as I thought I
would. I know many people love it, but for me, every morning I only need to
have everything done as fast as possible and I am wearing a very simple
eyeshades with some basic lid colors, darker shades in the crease and some brow
bones highlights, so every morning I don’t like to be in dilemma with what
colors to choose from. Additionally I feel like they are too sparkly for my taste.
I think people with cooler skin tones would get more use of it then me. The brush that it came with was soft on the touch, but it did not perform very well at picking up eyeshadows and I felt it was a little bit stiff for sensitive eyelid skin. Maybe I
have been better off with the original Naked. But still I do not think that I will
need such a large variety of colors for natural makeup!!!
Here I will share with you guys how I usually wear my eyeshadows with this palette. First with flat brush I will apply Foxy all over my lid, after that I will use the same brush to put some Bootycall on the brow bone. Then using a small tapered blending brush I will put some Tease on my crease and emphazise the crease even more with a little bit of Snakebite with small precise pencil brush. For extra brightness I would put some Halfbaked into the tear duct.
Other products used: Canmake concealer stick in 01, MAC Rubenesque Paint Pot and Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara
Overall I would rate is product 3.5 out of 5 for the application, 4 out of 5 for the finish that I got.
